If all is well the radio's output section may need tuned. Has it been screwdrivewr modded? Or peaked? Chad Neg, bone stock, never opened. Just bought it saturday to get me back home with the travel group. Ill go through my Antenna again. Using a Firstick. -- Rick Everett, Washington Remove THREAD to reply. Is a no groundplane antenna? or better yet is it a fiberglass Motorhome? This could be causing problems. Remember you need an RF groundplane not just an electrical ground to the antenna. Beings that you may have purchased a low cost "get you by" unit (radio), it may be more finiky. Best of luck, happy trails! Chad |
