How did you get it up that high? Did you pay someone?

No he had him dress in transexual garb as he climbed the long pole.

Childish newsgroup assclown.

Well, at least we know what is first on his mind.

I'm using RG213 with RG Mini 8 for a type of ground.
I took the center strand and attached it to the antenna, then
both the center strand and shield twisted together and attached
to a ground rod.

Anybody have one? I am going to stick it in a tree. There are tuning rings on

it is hung. If I tune it on the ground, will the SWR be drastically affected if
it is a couple feet off the ground, as opposed to when it is about 30 feet up?

Vinnie S.

Leave the tuning rings as they are. I put mine out the top of a
tree, and the antenna had a 1.1 SWR right out of th box.

That is a great idea. I am going to run nearly 300 feet of Bury-Flex. For both
the Imax and the HF dipole.

Someone here told me to use bury-flex. It was a great idea. Who was it?

A friend of mine is going to send me an Autek RF analyzer, so I can tune it
while in the tree.

May have been me. I love mine and it's wife friendly as she can't see the
coax hanging around. It is pretty stiff stuff though, no heliax, but a good
idea to work with it when it's warm :)

At 300 feet, I will lose about 25% power, but should gain significantly on
distance based on the bigger antenna and height.
