World record Bonefish records were set in the last couple of years...three in Biscayne Bay and a mess of other records were set in around the waters of Islamorda. Problem with Bonefishing in September is your best hours are just about over by the time the sun comes up,,,the heat is your enemy. April and May are prime months for Bonefishing. If all you want is plenty of action and the species don't matter, make sure to mention that when you book your reservation. Most day trips are 4, 6 or 8 hours. Of course, you can always charter or rent your own boat and gear for the day. |
