Say someone sits on the mic and keys the transmitter, or it gets stuck down in the seat leaving the transmitter keyed on. Maybe 15-20 minutes, or so, later the amp is toast, especially if the temps inside the car are high (summer time.)

These junk amps like this are just a waste of money.

Perhaps the advertisement should read; "A certain amount of
intelligence is required on the part of the operator to insure
reliable communications service".

How to avoid the following...

Answer; User a mic clip. Mount it to the side of the radio. Put the
mic in the mic clip when you are done talking.
