Default okay, here's the scoop... I guess I may need that dipole after all :-D

(In short, I need a dipole.....)

I tend to run before I walk, or put rather simply, tend to make bad
purchases sometimes. Anyway, it looks highly probable that I won't
even get to erect my Imax 2000 due to bylaws that I failed to look up
regarding antennas at my town home. In a nutshell, I'm asking for
permission, but expect a big fat, "NO!"

So, I need a dipole...and just realized that I could put one in my
garage. It should all work out very nicely in there. As a matter of
fact, I will be running the coax from the garage to my living room
shack, but only while the wife is away.

Can you lead me to the best dipole money can buy? Due to the morse
code going away, I think it best to get an antenna tuner for 10 meter
when I get the privileges (and only then), but will focus right now on
a CB dipole, for skip.

I see that Workman makes one.

And this guy makes one:

In addition, there is the double bazooka, which I've heard some
negative things about.

Is there anything else? I just want to buy a well-constructed one and
get it over with.

Thanks once again for your infinite wisdom, usenet!

No antennas or no towers? Can you bolt the Imax to the peak of your house
and be OK? Can you tell them it's a TV antenna? Do they provide you with
free cable television? If you are a ham can you erect an antenna? Can you
tell them it's a homeland security thing and you are doing your part

If you have trees a homebrew dipole works wonders, the higher the better.
You stated before it could be difficult for you due to injuries? You will
need to pick the feedling out from the dipole so enlisting the help of a
friend may be a good thing.

The Imax is not ugly, it would not look bad on the side of the house, it's
white and pretty thin, If done tastefully no one should complain. I have
mine on a push up behind and away from the house secured to an outbuilding,
it is not readily noticeable, although, my property does have mature trees.
Some even put imaxes IN trees.

It's pretty ****ty that you can't put up a simple antenna, I wonder if they
knew that it was not a big honkin beam if it would make a difference. A
beam would not fly with my wife, she has no problem with the Imax!
