Yea the good ole days, eh Jay?

Toyota is about to take over Nascar so my interest in that racing is
waning
pretty fast now. Those first generation guys used to out-drive the law,
with their engine/camber/caster/shocks package..

The engine still comes in a crate.....the law comes in packs now.

Some of my family ran a bit of that stuff in WV back in the day...'before
my time but I been told'.

My grandfather lived on an island on the Mississippi river. All that was on
the island was a shack and a still.

Did Curtis Lowe live there too?

Hello Stevo:

Hehhehehehe, no I never ran shine. But I did meet a bunch that did down in
Long Beach at Bill Stroups racing shop. No dought there where a few of the
good ol boys there.

I heard of highly modified cars with big engines and tanks to carry the
shine. I think thats where Nascar has its roots?!?!?

Jay in the Mojave

LOL!!! I didn't even think to ask Old Parnelli that question. I might
be seeing him again in a couple of weeks (If I go to Penn for work),
I'll ask him for ya Jay.

LOL! No, but that's a cool song.
BTW, just got a copy of Rebel meets Rebel. David Allen Coe did an album with
the late Dimebag Darrel (RIP) and his brother Vinnie Paul. Has that great
southern rockabilly sound.

I dig that country twang too, so long as they're not whining too much. I
know I've already said it but give a listen to Steve Earle if you enjoy
that style of music.

Have some fun!
