I have had the best luck with the program Winpack. Get the latest version.
It doesn't do fax or navtex (as far as I know) but for packet or pactor it is hard to beat. You can set up scripts that you can run to set parameters on the pk232 to different values depending on what you are doing. If you change between vhf packet and hf pactor, you can set up a couple of script files to do the changes for you (e.e. changing baud from 300 to 1200, etc.) tim ab0wr K5VSE wrote: I just aquired an old PK-232 and decided to try my hand at one of the digital modes. What would be the best software to try? I am almost afraid to ask, after reading the highly threaded post for the MFJ. No, I have no clue as to how it was done in the old days, so don't go after me for that. Thanks for any responses. -- Mike-K5VSE Formerly WB6VSE, Senior Tech, SBE/Linear Systems Watsonville, CA "Real Radios Glow In The Dark" 3.922khz Nightly |
