HL - SOUTH KOREA
The special event station HL0HQSC is active in all modes on all bands
until Apr 30. They are celebrating the new Korean hero Yi So-yeon,
DS3SYL, the first female astronaut from South Korea. Yi So-yeon shall
fly to the ISS onboard a Russian spacecraft on Apr 8.
QSL via HL2CFY, direct or via bureau.

KH9 - WAKE ISLAND, OC-053
Colin,WA2YUN/KH9, will have a 3ele tribander in a few weeks. About two
months later he will get a power amplifier as well. Colin will stay on
Wake Island (OC-053) until the end of 2009. His QSL manager is K2PF.

PJ4 - NETHERLAND ANTILLES, SA-006
Andy,PJ4/W9NJY, is activating Bonaire (SA-006) on 10-40m until Apr 10.
QSL via WD9DZV.

V6 - FEDERATED STATES OF MICRONESIA, OC-012
Members of the "Yamato Club" (JA1ZEK) will visit Yap Island (OC-012)
from Apr 9-15. The operators Sasi,JA1KJW (V63JQ), Mat,JA1JQY (V63JY),
and Kuni,JA8VE (V63VE), will have three transceiver, a small amplifier,
dipoles for 160-30m and beams for the other bands. V63JY and V63JQ will
work in CW, V63VE will operate in SSB and RTTY.
QSLs for V63JY and V63JQ via bureau to the operator's homecalls,
V63VE via JF1OCQ.

XU - CAMBODIA
XU7ADV will be the callsign of Wim,ON6NP, from Apr 9-28. Wim will use
a FT-857D, a CG-5000 automatic antenna tuner and a SB-1000 interface
in SSB, PSK and RTTY.

YK - SYRIA
Roger,G3SXW, Nigel,G3TXF, Fred,G4BWP, Lionel,G5LP, and Rob,GM3YTS, will
show up as YK9G from the capital Damaskus from Apr 9-15. They will work
in CW only with two stations (including amplifiers) 24 hours a day.
Though they have antennas for 160-10m they want to activate 40-17m at
most. QSLs via buro or direct to G3TXF, via LoTW or via e-mail request.

3B6 - AGALEGA AND ST BRANDON ISLANDS, AF-001
The surprise of the week is the upcoming activity from Agalega (AF-001)
from Apr 14-17. Rachid,3B8FQ, is holding a license in his hands and
wants to hit the airwaves as 3B6FQ for about 48 to 72 hours. He will
be QRV mainly in SSB on 80-10m but sometimes also in CW. Rachid hopes
to hit the airwaves with his battery powered 70 watts transmitter and
simple antennas on Apr 14 around 1830 UTC. Rachid will be on a QRL trip
to Agalega so he can enjoy his hobby amateur radio only during his
spare time. Please send your cards to his QSL manager K5XK.

ENGLAND, SPECIAL EVENT CALLSIGN
GB1SUN is active since Apr 5 and promotes solar energy in amateur radio
until the end of the year. It goes without saying that GB1SUN is
totally powered by solar energy itself. Mary and Robert Brown (M3XMW
and M0JRB) in Ossett/West Yorkshire are working on HF and VHF.

NORWAY, SPECIAL EVENT CALLSIGN
LN2G will be active during the "Norwegian Hammeeting" from Apr 11-13.
Operation will take place in SSB/PSK31/RTTY on 40m/20m. QSL via LA2G.

USA, SPECIAL EVENT CALLSIGN
The ocean liner Titanic sank 96 years ago. To remember this event the
operators WA0SAP, W0ERE, KB9YZE and K0ADI will activate the special
event station W0S in SSB/CW on HF from the world's largest Titanic
museum in Branson/Missouri on Apr 12/13.
