EY - TAJIKISTAN
Jean Bernard,EY8/F4EOH, is working in SSB on 20m from Dushanbe from
Apr 17 until the end of August 2008.

FS - ST MARTIN, NA-105
John,FS/K9EL, will spend his holidays together with his family on
St. Martin (NA-105) from Apr 24 until May 4. He will work mainly in CW

FR/G - GLORIOSO ISLANDS, AF-011
The DXpedition to Glorioso Island (AF-011) originally scheduled for
May 6-Jun 6 has been postponed once again. Starting in June some new
shelters against tropical storms will be built on Glorioso for about
two and a half months. Due to the big number of persons on the island
during the construction the authorities decided to postpone the
DXpedition to a time when these works will be finished. The exact dates
will be defined according to the military transport posibilities but
they hope to accomplish this operation by the end of September or the
beginning of October.

HC8 - GALAPAGOS ISLANDS, SA-004
Sergey,HC8/UX0HX, Max,HC8/UZ1HZ, Len,HC8/UR3HR, and Alex,HC8/UT5UY,
plan to show up from Galapagos (SA-004) from Apr 24-29. They will work
in CW/SSB/PSK/RTTY on 6-160m with two stations. Emphasis will be put
on the WARC bands and the lowbands. QSLs via bureau to their homecalls.

Glen,KP2/W5IF, will operate from the super station WP2Z on the island
of St. Croix (NA-106) from Apr 23-30. Glen prefers working in RTTY and

ZF2 - CAYMAN ISLANDS, NA-016
Gerd,DL7VOG, is informing us about his upcoming trip to the Caymans:
"I will be QRV as ZF2GU from Grand Cayman Island (NA-016) between
Apr 28 and May 14. As usual I will work on all open bands with my
minimal machinery IC-706MK2G, HF9V for 80m-6m and Inverted L for 160m.
I prefer operating in CW and RTTY - SSB upon request. There is a good
internet access so I will update my log daily. You can find it at:
http://www.qslnet.de/zf2gu QSLs should be sent via DL7VOG preferably
in this order: via buro, via e-mail request to or direct.
The QTH looks promising, only a few neighbours and only little distance
to the sea. I hope there will be only little QRM/QRN. 73, Gerd/DL7VOG."

special event station TS78WARD will be activated until Apr 24.
QSLs via 3V8 bureau.

He is active as 5X1DX during his rare spare time mainly in the evenings
or at the weekends. QSL via PA7FM.

Kazu,JA8MWU, will stay in Kathmandu from Apr 27 until May 5 and hopes
to become active as 9N7WU in SSB during that time. His preferred QRGs

AUSTRIA, SPECIAL EVENT STATION

special callsign OE2008XQC during the International Marconi Day on
April 26. Contacts count for the IMD award and also for the EURO2008
award. QSLs via bureau or direct to OE1WHC.

4S7DXG no PIRATE!
Mario,4S7BRG (HB9BRM), writes following: "If you read the latest
DX bulletins and comments on the web many OMs get eliglible doubts
about 4S7DXG. Even in one one the last DXNLs I read "4S7DXG - Pirate"
again. I have visited him today on Apr 17,2008, and while dicussing
I asked him also to show his license. Ivans transmitting license for
Sri Lanka (4S7DXG) is valid from Jan 1, 2008, until May 1, 2008. The
time before Jan 1,2008, where he operated from Sri Lanka is a grey area
but Ivan,UR9IDX, filed his application to extend his licence in Colombo
already in November or December. The regulation authority TRCSL is
only an executive office but the OK (Yes or No) originally comes from
the defence ministry which takes some time. Ivan,4S7DXG (UR9IDX), says
he will go back to the Ukraine during the next one or two weeks but
but still wants to recover from his broken leg. I hope I have helped
out with my little contribution. Vy 73 de Mario,4S7BRG."

SILENT KEYS
The wellknown German DXer Uli Adelung,DK2OC, passed away being only
63 years old on April 6, 2008. Uli was holder of the DXCC Honor Roll
and was very active also as EA8/DK2OC. The international DX family
will keep him in an honorable memory.
