JD1/MT - MINAMI TORISHIMA, OC-073
Masa,JA6GXK, is staying on Marcus Island (OC-073) again and can
be found working as JD1BMM on 80-6m until May 22.
Masa requests QSL cards via the JARL bureau.

KH6 - HAWAII, OC-019
Ron,KJ5XX/KH6, is active from Kauai Island (OC-019, HI-003S, LH-1761)
until May 16. Ron is working mostly on 20m but also on 17m/15m/10m.

OJ0 - MARKET REEF, EU-053
Pasi,OH3WS/OG3A, will stay on Market Reef (EU-053) from May 14-17.
He will try to become active as OJ0/OG3A on 40-20m during his little
spare time. QSL via OH3WS.

V6 - FEDERATED STATES OF MICRONESIA, OC-010
Shoji,JA7HMZ, will show up as V63DX in all modes on all bands from
Pohnpei Island (OC-010) from May 19-24. QSLs via homecall.

3D2 - FIJI
Eddie,VK4AN, and his 13-year-old son Rajiv,VK4FRAJ, will activate the
island Malolo-Lailai (OC-121) as 3D2A from May 17-31. They have 3 rigs:
Two FT-450AT + ALS-500M PAs & FT-100 for 6m. Their announced QRGs a
in CW: 2-5 kHz from the lower band edge,
in SSB: 3795, 7095, 14195, 18145, 21295, 24925, 28495 kHz,
in RTTY: 7042, 10112, 14082, 18102, 21082, 28082 kHz and
in PSK31: 7042, 10112, 14072, 18102, 21072, 28072 kHz.
Eddie and Rajiv will take part also in the upcoming WPX Contest. Their

3V - TUNISIA
Zoki,Z33F, and Momo,Z31MM, will visit the scout clubstation 3V8SS in
Sousse from May 15-26. They want to become active in CW/SSB/RTTY/PSK/
SSTV on all bands (including WARC and 2m).
Zoki,Z33F, plans to participate as single OP/single band (80m) in the
WPX Contest on May 24/25. Momo,Z31MM, intends to take part in the
EU PSK Contest (May 17/18). The QSL route for 3V8SS is IZ8FWN.

5Z - KENYA
5Z4DX is active from May 14 until Jun 11. Wasini Island (AF-067) will
be activated on the weekend of May 25/26.
Unfortunately QSLs only direct to: Frank Steffen Gast, Eskifirdi,
735 Eskifjoedur, Iceland.

9X - RUANDA
Rich,WA3FPK, will stay in Ruanda for three weeks starting on May 15.
He is already holding the 9X0A license in his hands. During his little
spare time you will find him working mainly in SSB on 20m - especially
during the third week. His QSL manager is KA1CRP.

TP2CE, EUROPEAN COUNCIL, STRASBOURG
A few members of a HAM radio group at the German Bundeswehr have been
invited to activate the clubstation of the European Council in Stras-
bourg from May 16-18. Dieter,DK5PZ, Volker,DL1WH, Peter,DL2RPS, and
Rene,DL7WR, will work in CW, SSB and digital modes especially on the
lowbands. Chances are high that the callsign used will be TP2CE.
QSLs direct or via bureau to F5LGF.

COTA - CASTLES ON THE AIR
The COTA Team Germany reminds us that the International COTA Activity
Weekend takes place on May 17/18. Activities from castles and palaces
have been announced from: DL, EA, F, G, HA, HB, I, OK, ON, SP and more.

ITALY, SPECIAL EVENT STATIONS
The kayak athletes gather at the Piedmontese city of Ivrea for the
Wildwater World Championships 2008 from June 5-8. The local radio club
IQ1IV is signing IO1WWC on all bands on HF, VHF and via satellite from
May 12 until Jun 8. QSLs direct or via bureau should be sent to IQ1IV.

The ARI section Catania celebrates its 60th anniversary by activating
the special event station II9LXCT until May 25. QSL via IT9VCE.

The first three legs of the 91st "Giro d'Italia" are taking place in
Sicily which is the reason for IR9GI hitting the airwaves until May 18.
QSLs via IT9TQH.

SILENT KEYS
Torben Loevenhoej,OZ1TL, was en route to Bhutan to become active as
A52TL when he passed away on May 2. Several sources state that Torben
has suffered a heart attack in his hotel room in Kathmandu/Nepal.
The DX community mourns also for Stuart "Stu" Santelmann,KC1F,
Rustom Zal Kabraji,VU2BK, Zivko Trendafilovski,Z31CM, and
Armand De Fusco,W1WKO.

EU-011, G/M, Isles of Scilly: A group of four French OPs will show up as
M/F5KEE/p from Saint Mary's Island from May 16-23. QSL via F8ATS.

EU-110, 9A, Sveti Nikola Island: Alessandro,9A/IK4ALM, and Sergio,9A/IZ4BBF,
will be QRV from May 15-19.

EU-189, Rockall: An activity may take place on May 14/15. One of the team
members Mike,K9AJ, promised to operate in CW on 20m/40m. The radios
will be powered from a battery but a call has not been announced yet.

NA-016, ZF, Grand Cayman Island: Jim,W6NRJ, will stay on Grand Cayman from
May 17-22. He plans to work as ZF2LJ (mostly on the WARC bands)
directly from the beach. The QSLs will be confirmed direct or via buro
after his holiday.
