CY0 - SABLE ISLAND, NA-063
VE3IKV, K5AND, W3CMP and W4TAA are the OPs of a 6m operation from
Sable Island (NA-063, CISA NS-004) between Jun 25 and Jul 7. Since
6m openings to Europe are very unlikely it is very nice to read that
they are working also in CW/SSB on 20m and 40m. Their callsigns are
CY0X and CY0RA (for a portable station). More information can be found

FJ - ST BARTHELEMY, NA-146
Arliss,W7XU, Holly,N0QJM, and Ed,W0SD, are going to hit the airwaves
as TO5E (QSL via W7XU) mainly on 6m (50103 kHz in CW and SSB) between
Jun 28 and Jul 6. Activities will take place also on 30m and 20m in
RTTY (10123/14080), in CW (10103/14023) and in SSB (14195/14260 kHz).

GD - ISLE OF MAN, EU-116
GT7OOO/p is activating summits for the SOTA award mainly in CW on 40m
until Jun 27. The prefix GT7 has been issued the for the first time.

HB0 - LIECHTENSTEIN
Bart,ON3BA, Michel,ON3SMS, Noel,ON4APU, Martin,ON4PO, Peter,ON4TO,
Jose,ON5SD, Rene,ON6OM, Fernand,ON6UF, Eddy,ON6ZV, and Mathieu,ON8DB,
will be active as HB0/ON4IPA in CW, SSB and digital modes on 10-160m
from Jun 28 until Jul 5. QSL via bureau to ON6ZV.

Fred,DL5YM, and his XYL Tina,DL5YL, will go hiking in Liechtenstein
from Jun 28 until Jul 11. They have an IC-725 and 40m antenna wire
with them so you can expect some holiday style QSOs as HB0/homecalls
on 10-80m. They prefer working in CW but they may take also a micro-
phone with them. QSLs via bureau to their homecalls.

JX - JAN MAYEN, EU-022
Michael,JX/G7VJR, and Wojtek,JX/SQ4MP, will show up from the island of
Jan Mayen (EU-022) between Jun 28 and Jul 4. Their equipment includes:
one Elecraft K2/100 and a FT-857D transceiver, two 10m verticals for
40m/30m/20m/17m/15m/12m, a yagi for 6m, an 18m vertical for 40m/30m and
a 500 watts amplifier. Emphasis will be put on 30m, 20m and 17m while
also looking for possible openings on 12m or 10m. Michael usually works
in CW and Wojtek in SSB and CW and sometimes also RTTY. On 6m you can
find them in CW on 50105 kHz and their pilot station is Chris,GM4FAM.
QSL manager for both calls is G7VJR. He confirms direct or via bureau.

OY - FAROE ISLANDS, EU-018
The operation of OY/LA6FJA and OY/LA7WCA is expected to take place from
Streymoy (EU-018) in CW, SSB, RTTY and PSK31 on 80-6m from Jun 25-30.
QSLs direct, via LoTW or via bureau to their homecalls.

PJ6 - NETHERLAND ANTILLES, SABA, NA-145
Kenny,K2KW, and his XYL Stephanie,KD8GKM, will be QRV as PJ6/K2KW from
Saba (NA-145) from Jul 1-7. They will work with 100 watts and dipoles
on 17-40m and a 2ele yagi for 6m.
They might show up as well as PJ7/K2KW from St. Maarten (NA-105) after-
wards from Jul 8-10. Their QSL manager is Kappy,WA4WTG.

5X - UGANDA
Nick,G3RWF, will be active again as 5X1NH from Jun 25 until Aug 15.
QSL via G3RWF.

7Q - MALAWI
Harry,7Q7HB, is staying in Malawi at the moment. Harry concentrates on
PSK31 and RTTY this time. QSLs only direct via G0IAS.

7X - ALGERIA
The callsign 7Y46ND will be activated on 10-80m throughout the month
of July. The station is operated by the radio club in Djelfa. Algeria
became independent 46 years ago and "ND" stands for "National Day".
QSL cards should be sent to 7X2DD, Mohamed Djaballah, PO Box 467,
17000 Djelfa, Algeria.
For enclosing 5 EUR or 7 US$ you will get a special QSL.

8P - BARBADOS, NA-021
Andrew,G7COD, will be QRV as 8P9KA from Barbados (NA-021) between
Jun 28 and Jul 4. Listen for Andrew working mostly in SSB and little CW
on 40m, 30m, 20m, 17m and 15m daily from 2100-2300 UTC.
QSLs via homecall, direct or via bureau.

BRASIL, SPECIAL EVENT STATION
The special event station ZW50I celebrates the 50th anniversary of the
city Imbituba between Jun 21 and Jul 21. QSL via PP5BZ, direct or buro.

CANADA, SPECIAL EVENT STATION
The Canadian city Quebec celebrates its 400th anniversary this year.
VE2HO, VE2AWR, VA2RIO, VE2TKH and other OPs will activate VE2008VQ
on 80-6m from Jun 28 until Jul 27. QSLs direct or via bureau to VE2AWR.

PIRATE: Albert,5R8GZ, states that the station 5R8/IW1GTO is a pirate who is
unknown to the licensing authority OMERT.

SILENT KEYS:
Nellie Saltiel de Lazard,XE1CI, a wellknown YL DXpeditioner passed away
on Jun 16. She was member of the "DX Hall of Fame", took part in many
DXpeditions and was the first YL to operate from Palestine.

UPDATE: 4U QSL cards at HAMRADIO 2008 fair in Friedrichshafen

If you are still missing QSLs for QSOs made with 4U stations after 1985 you
can pick them up at the booth of the Swiss DX Foundation the HAMRADIO 2008
in Friedrichshafen/Germany on Jun 27-29.
The announcement in DXNL 1576 means not only 4U1ITU and 4U1WRC but also
includes the activities of 4U1UN. 4U1UN logbooks are dating back to 1985,
but QSLs will be handed out also for 4U60UN and 4U50SPACE.


First DXCC award on 70cm
------------------------
The ARRL Newsletter says its a "milestone" - the first DXCC award for the
70cm band issued to the German HAM Jan Bruinier,DL9KR. Jan has worked the
100 DXCC entities in CW and via EME. Congratulations Jan!
