Since 6m openings to Europe are very unlikely it is very nice to read that they are working also in CW/SSB on 20m and 40m. Their callsigns are CY0X and CY0RA (for a portable station). Activities will take place also on 30m and 20m in RTTY (10123/14080), in CW (10103/14023) and in SSB (14195/14260 kHz). They have an IC-725 and 40m antenna wire with them so you can expect some holiday style QSOs as HB0/homecalls on 10-80m. They prefer working in CW but they may take also a micro- phone with them. QSLs via bureau to their homecalls. JX - JAN MAYEN, EU-022 Michael,JX/G7VJR, and Wojtek,JX/SQ4MP, will show up from the island of Jan Mayen (EU-022) between Jun 28 and Jul 4. Their equipment includes: one Elecraft K2/100 and a FT-857D transceiver, two 10m verticals for 40m/30m/20m/17m/15m/12m, a yagi for 6m, an 18m vertical for 40m/30m and a 500 watts amplifier. Emphasis will be put on 30m, 20m and 17m while also looking for possible openings on 12m or 10m. Michael usually works in CW and Wojtek in SSB and CW and sometimes also RTTY. On 6m you can find them in CW on 50105 kHz and their pilot station is Chris,GM4FAM. QSL manager for both calls is G7VJR. He confirms direct or via bureau. The station is operated by the radio club in Djelfa. Algeria became independent 46 years ago and "ND" stands for "National Day".
