(Price not important) As you've seen, people seem to be quite partisan about their favorite loggers! I've tried a bunch. Didn't really like *any* of them. Gave up & wrote my own. Linux platform though all the components are also available for Windows & the underlying Perl code should run on Windows with little or no modification. It doesn't have rig control, CD support, or LotW integration though they could all be added. Neat thing is that all QSOs are logged into a standard database engine. Any query I can think up, I can run. Got a QSL card from AP2IA? mysql mylog -e "update log set name='Ijaz', city='Lahore', grid='MM62' where call='AP2IA'" and the data is updated for all QSOs. Can't do that with most other programs. Where is it? Not on your homepage. N3FPJ ACLOG does/has all of this. I've tested samples of others but this one is the nicest in my opinion. I agree also, it is the ONLY logging software i will use for field day because it actually does what it says it will do. nice stuff. for general logging and whatever I like WinLogger Adair |

What you have described is exactly what I have been looking for. tlf is cool for contesting, but I failed to find an everyday logging programs with those features described before. Since I don't boot into Windows anymore (or very rarely), I'd certainly want to give it a try. Give the demo a try. It's unlikely these days that new software will be fully keyboard centric but of the ones that I have tried, this one is the easiest to use from a keyboard point of view. You can always drop the author an email on questions. And if you like, I can try to answer specific questions since I'm pretty familar with it. Dee D. Flint, N8UZE |

If God had wanted us to use a computer mouse, He would have given us three hands (or four so we could operate a paddle for CW as well). 73, Bob N7X |

Once again Win-EQF fills the bill. It can either way, mouse or keyboard.
Keyboard input is simple and direct. Another nice touch is the hot key system it has, lets you jump to a particular place on the screen. As an example, at any time while logging press the Alt-G key and you are taken to the Grid Square block. It will, like lots of other logging programs, let you design your own contest setup also. Nice if you do a state QSO party that does not have a standard format. K7SAM |
