CQ WW CW - so far
"Walt Davidson" wrote in message ... From here in England, the condx on the North Atlantic path have been the worst I can ever remember during a CQ WW Contest. However, in other directions it has not been too bad, for example Southeast Asia, Indian Ocean, Pacific, S. America and Africa have all been coming in at reasonable strength. But no JA's. No JA ? There are a lot ! Do you have tried working our JA OMs when they were waked up at least ? ;-) This shift is important Even not the strongest ? Thierry ON4SKY http://www.astrosurf.org/lombry By far the loudest USA sig on 14 MHz is W1GQ. He is head and shoulders above all the usual East Coast "big guns". Stations like KC1XX and K1RX are really weak ... very strange. Wkd T88AA on 14 MHz for a new one! :-) 73 de G3NYY -- Walt Davidson Email: g3nyy @despammed.com |

I did not hear one JA in the whole weekend. 73 de G3NYY -- Walt Davidson Email: g3nyy @despammed.com Here stateside several JA's made it over the pole to Alabama. I made all my contact on 20. Usually 15 is the band of choice for that path. But with the cycle dropping like a rock...well you know. Dan/W4NTI |

I didn't work all that many europeans, but most of those I did work were OHs. Bob, N7XY |

Very unstable signals tho. About like the stations from Asiatic Russia. Alabama is a good spot to work the world from. If you don't mind the thunder storms...hi. Dan/W4NTI |
