Nope, the 'ole Yaesu FL-2100B won't go there, so, that takes care of that
little problem.

Sir Walter -- interesting on the power level differences.

And I posted the link you offered -- under frequencies/bandplans

Let us know of your next visit to California -- would very much enjoy
meeting with you again.

Oh ... hi Rod, my old mate! I didn't realise it was you. :-) You
caught me napping that time.

It's 400 watts output (measured at the antenna feedpoint), the same as
on all bands between 3.5 MHz and 51.0 MHz. Also, there is no
mandatory mode restriction on the 10.1 MHz band here in Europe, but we
are "requested" to use only narrow-bandwidth modes. Most UK operators
do honor that request. However, there is a lot of SSB operation on
the 10.1 MHz band from France ... which is frowned upon by other users
of the band.

Full UK licence regulations are he

QRP works! i do have to wonder though about those fellas (and US hams
seem to be worst offenders) who feel they have to use 1kW when 100W
would do...

so i guess my 100W txcvr is QRP to a linear nut? and my ft-817 is
uQRP?
