I remember the OTHR woodpecker -- Kenwood even designed a noise blanker
for it (I think). Haven't heard any thing like it since (Thank Goodness)

That will seem completely innocuous if BPL is approved..

Derek aa5bt.

That radar runs S9 + 40 here when the MUF is right at 20M.
Just about what I expect from BPL.

Bye bye hamradio as we know it.

It's probably an M3 licencee from the UK. These are freebie
licences issued to CBer's in this country which allow them
free access to the ham bands.

If you feel aggrieved about this abuse of the amateur radio
spectrum (and many of us do) then you should address your
concerns to the RSGB, who are primarily responsible for the
creation of this new licencing plan.

The fact that they expect to receive large amount of subscriber
income from this scheme is of course entirely coincidental . . .

Hmmm...wonder if I can operate CW on Echolink; probably
the only place left that hasn't been QRMed by outside
sources...but then, is Echolink really ham radio?

Maybe a WAN award? (Worked All Nodes)
