Radio shack has been officially dead for years as far as I'm
concerned, all they do is sell phones, toys and Sat set ups.

Hey, now, they've got some fairly nice banana plugs :-)

Also, soldering gear, so they're not totally dead.

Besides, I've never thought of them as a place to buy ham or shortwave
radios -- so I don't miss whatever they don't sell anymore.

Between AES, the Wireman and Mouser, I can get pretty much what I
need.

I buy components there all the time. Granted, they are not my
one-stop-shopping place, nor are they the first place I go to,
but when I'm in a pinch and need something now then they often
have very simple, common components (an opamp, led, connector,
pot, etc.)

Come on, pay attention.

You replied to a thread that started in 2003, then someone with a long
retention time replied in 2006 and now you reply 6 years later.

Yet all you can say is an idiotic "yup"?

You can't even quote the message you are replying to so there is some
context?

Once again, just because google has a bug that allows replies to messages
older than 30 days is not a reason to reply. Except that idiots keep
doing it, the rest of us would have no idea what you are talking about.
But since it's an ongoing problem, every time I see a reply to a message I
don't remember, it's clearly from google, and likely years old.

If you don't ahve anything significant to say, don't post. If you have
something significan to say, then say it by posting a new message in a new
thread.
