Mine come off easily. You have to slide it to the left a bit and then pull
it out.

I am attempting to remove the remote front panel from my FT-8900R, but I
cannot get it off. I press backwards on the releaste latch button, but

the
front will not separate. I am afraid I will damage it if I force it with

a
screwdriver. Does anyone have any hints on how to get the front off?
