I need to remove the front panel of my TS440S to clean out the
pushbuttons (some are too "bouncy").

I see there are some screws on the side, but I suspect there are a
couple under the tuning dial knob.

How does one remove the tuning dial knob? Looking at the screw head,
it doesn't look like a hex screw.

There are two screws behind the tuning knob, but it's not necessary to
remove the knob to remove the front panel You can remove the knob by
inserting the appropriate size Allen wrench into the hole in the knob.
