Otherwise, you might make sure the ft100d wasn't screwed up when it
"was taken out of band." If nothing else, the warranty is probably
void, and you'll have to finance your own servicing.


I doubt the warrenty was voided by modding it. People mod them all the time for
"MARS" and "CAP" use and it's perfectly fine. Since there seems to be only one
mod for MARS/CAP, it should be ok. It will also allow you to operate on the new
60 meter band!

In the AES catalog, the 100 is discontinued and $270, the 120 is $330.
Contact Yaesu if you need more info, or do your own research on
Google.

The Ft 100d is a great radio I use mine mainly mobile with a atas 120 works
well the differnce between the 100 and 120 is the 120 is supposed to be 20%
quicker in operating between bands
