I have a SOLAR 115 volt 1.04 Amp constant transformer. It does not work.
I found that the capacitor in it was open. It appears it was replaced some time ago before I bought it. The failed capacitor is 4uF 350 volt rating. I am trying to find what is the proper value and voltage replacement for this capacitor. An email to SOLAR has gone unanswered. Can anyone tell me what this capacitor value and voltage should be? Normally, these things are made by SOLA. mike -- Bunch of stuff For Sale and Wanted at the link below. laptops and parts Test Equipment Honda CB-125S TEK Sampling Sweep Plugin and RM564 Tek 2465 $800, ham radio, 30pS pulser Tektronix Concept Books, spot welding head... http://www.geocities.com/SiliconValley/Monitor/4710/ |

Stick a capacitor in it and use an audio oscillator to check for resonance. Do this with the transformer unloaded of course. Bill K7NOM |
