Default TS-830S Problem

After spending two winters in an unheated workshop, my TS-830S is not
functioning properly. No RX, no TX. Also, when I first turned it on
the frequency LED display lit up and then faded to black. I live in a
damp environment, Vancouver Island BC. Is my trusty old 830 ruined?

The final output tubes are lighting up as they should. I'm wondering
if there's a bigger issue since there's no RX either.

I was thinking maybe get some contact cleaner and clean all the
connections inside where the different modules connect to the main
board?

Anyone had a similar experience?

Jim
