Congrat's.!!!

I got a 756proIII this last spring and a switching PS 125.. the PS had
something rattling around inside so
I had to open it up. Turned out to be plastic from some caps but I didn't
see any damaged caps.
I suppose is was left in after a fix at the factory or HRO,

I got the desk mic SM20 with it and it only lasted a few months. So I have
to get into the plug that
is on the end of the mic... a soma problem ... soma the times it works and
soma the time it don't.
easier to fix and more reliable if I do it myself. Poor testimonies for
these high dollar stations.

I got an icom 2720 and it had no schematic... the Users manual IS not
satisfactory to connect
external speakers. No connecter contact drawings.

I also got an icom 91AD and it also had no schemtic.

A person would think at least a schematic would be included. I guess they
want MORE MONEY
for service manuals. I was emailed drawings for the switching PS and

If they don't send me some schematics for these last 2 rigs... my HF amp
won't be the PW1
The Ameritron tube amps I am considering has schematics already on thier
web site.

By the way http://www.amateurlogic.com/downloads.htm had nice video tour of
factory nice show

I'll post again later.

Good luck...73 Gary K4TWO

Hey no problem with delay.

Just wanted to let you know I understand that some companies keep thier
heads up
thier rears, so it's ok with me if they leave them there.

Just wanted you to know I just completed an order for a KW amp and tuner
from another manufaturer and that any future purchases will not include any
icom equipment. And if any of my current icoms fail, I'll just run over them
with my car and haul them to the dump.

Have a nice day. And shove your service manuals.

Sir,

Sorry for the delay, I have discussed with my manager and my technical
support department and have decided that our policy for manuals will be
upheld. From the information I have gathered, it has been nearly 20 years
since we included schematic break downs with our radios. Unfortunately, if
you would like copies of the schematic breakdown from these new radios, you
will have to purchase the complete service manual at $32.00 each plus
shipping and handling. If you would like to order these items, please
contact us at 800-346-0495.

Thanks,

Am I being told I have to BUY a service manual to get the schematics for
radios I bought?

If this is the case then I will NOT be purchasing a PW1 this year.

All I need are the schematics that should have been with the radios.

Please let me know if the schematics for the 91AD and the 2720H are
available online.

My station is about done now except for the ground radials for my Hustler
5BTV.

I move slower these days but plan to just play radion when the radials and
HF amp are in.

Read the original message please. This has been most disapointing.

If I have to BUY the schematics, my HF amp will be a tube Ameritron that
already has the

schematics online.

Thanks Gary Calvert 73 K4TWO

Good Morning......

Thanks for your e-mail.

I have attached schematics for the PS-125 and the SM-20 to this e-mail,
however, for the schematics for the 91AD and the 2720H, you will need to
contact our parts department, because schematics are only available in the
service manuals and our parts department handles those. Their e-mail address
is:
or their telephone number is: 800-306-1356. I hope
that this will help.

Best Regards;

This past year I have bought the Icom 91/AD sn 0502054 and Icom 2720 sn
0510376 Icom 756ProIII sn 3204248 Icom PS125 sn 0208384 and SM20 Desk
mic sn 028004 all work fine with the following exceptions. The PS125
had plastic rattling around inside from capacitors but I never saw any
damage... empty and put back together. The desk mic SM 20 intermitant
ground or loose wire in plug. easier and cheaper to fix it myself. I
was about to wire external speakers to the 2720 rig and did NOT find
enough information to wire the 1/8th inch plugs which ever has 3 wire or
both I don't know. The only products that had a schematic was the
756ProIII. Can I be e-mailed the schematics for all the other products
or mailed by postal service to Gary Calvert K4TWO, 202 Clarksville TN
37042. I hope when I get the PW1 this summer to complete my new station
that it will have a schematic with it. I buy through Ham Radio Outlet
and they said not to send in the warrenty cards so they could make quick
exchanges if needed.
I am disabled so these things take me a longer time to put into service
and find problems.

Thanks Gary Calvert K4TWO
