			Hi,

Question to specialist and users of the Yaesu FT-1000MP Mark-V The Mark-V has 3 IF stages + a so-called 4th, the DSP. The Collins filters are installed at 2 and 3st stages. What become the filtering at the 1st stage ? Never see, never use ? NB. To confirm, its 1st IF is at VHF frequency and use a filter always connected, referred to as a "roofing filter" like in the Ten-Tec (probably 15-20 kHz wide). But I have no more infor about it. Isn't there a way to use that filter to enhance still more the audio and extract weak signals from QRM ? And no way to replace it with a high Q Collins ? 73 Thierry, ON4SKY http://www.astrosurf.com/lombry/qsl-...0mp-mark-v.htm http://www.astrosurf.com/lombry/qsl-transceiver.htm |
