Default INFO Yaesu FT-8000

Hello all:
I have a yeasu FT-8000 144/440 Tranceiver
I would like to know how to rid of the "AM" which comes up on screen on a
few frequencies
I have tried to reprogram with proper Mem/ Ch/ Freq/ -600/ Tone and
it stays there
It will not transmit on that frequency ERR comes up
I have looked throughout the manual and I cannot find any info on this
If someone would be kind enough to reply who had the same experience would
be much appreciated
Thank you in advance

You might want to try a CPU reset.
You might have to do it a few times.
You will have to re-program the radio
after.
Good luck, 73
By the way. If you ever have to tighten the volume / squelch
knobs, DON'T!! Those switches are mounted VERY poorly
and you will rip the control off the circuit board. This might be not
fixable!!
Took me 4 HOURS to repair it with wire wrap wire. Any other wire is
WAY too big. This is truly micro surgery!!!
The only way to tighten the knob is to take the front panel apart
and hold the back of the pot so it won't rip off the board.
SHAME ON YAESU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
