Can 2 of the remote display cables be connected together to make the

I'll be damned! The answer is "Yes!". (I was all prepared to answer
in the negative -- until I went and checked the installation in the
car.) The "north" end of the cable _does_ slip into and snap-locks on
the "south" end of the cable.

Now -- whether or not you'll experience `weird` operations from
using a too-long cable run, well....

I would assume that Icom only warrantees operation up to the length
of the single, longest run cable they offer (approx 12-15 feet?)

I did it in a station wagon for 4 years with no trrouble. The Icom people
swore it would not work. Any guesses as to why they said that? LOL!

OF COURSE!!!! They wanted to sell me the longer cable.

No I was there and experienced the ire of many customers who tried to
snap two cables together. More times than I care to remember it did
not work reliably. The voltage drop through the two cables seemed to
be to great. So we went to telling callers it would not work. Once we
at Icom would have said it works then we bought that configuration. It
was easier to say your were on your own when the snapping two cables
together question came up. Even the longer cable is not as long as the
two shorter ones connected together.
