I wonder what opening and closing the case has to do with fixing the control circuitry/software in that little box. You scared it. The more technically astute the repairperson, the faster the radio restores itself. Don K6LTS |

A bad solder joint would be a good first guess. It would be common to all
those issues listed thus far. A component bumped just enough to get it to make contact. OR a mechanical connection like a ground - disturbed when unit was disassembled and reassembled. "Clair J. Put it all back together. Works fine now. Full power restored. Monte B. Carroll WC4MBC Curious! A few years ago, my own HTX-202 came up with an error code that indicated that the PLL had failed to lock. I decided to open it up to take a look, and while I was at it to perform a simple mod intended to remove a birdie on 146.76. When I got it open, I took a look, chickened out and carefully put it back together again. It has worked perfectly ever since -- birdie and all. I wonder what opening and closing the case has to do with fixing the control circuitry/software in that little box. 73, CJ K0CJ |
