The SD model was the same as the base 950S with the DSP installed. The SDX was a later version. There was a QST review of the SDX that concentrated on the differences. Ones I remember are DSP installed with some more functions, different types of final transistors (bipolar vs FET I think), some additional memory functions. I believe the consensus was that the SDX was a better receiver but the S/SD is a cleaner transmitter. 73 John |
