Default Timewave ANC-4 or MFJ-1026

I found nothing wrong with the fit and finish of my 1026. Just be aware
that the 1026 is not easy to adjust and can easily appear not to be working
if the sense antenna is not adequate and if the operator doesn't grasp the
correct adjustment procedure. Make sure the interfering signal can be heard
well on the sense antenna.

It's cheaper by about ten bucks,
but MFJ's reputation for poor fit and finish might offset that.

I think it all depends upon how strong the interfering signal is. If the
internal whip antenna can hear the signal, then the 1026 will do the job.
If not, then you'll need an external noise antenna. You can easily connect
the external antenna to the 1026 and unscrew the telescoping sense antenna
if you're not going to use it.

I was looking to buy a 1026 or 1025. My understanding is the 1026 has a
active antenna built in and the 1025 does not, is that correct and is it
worth the extra money to get the 1026?
