Default PK-232 Software

Posting this for a friend.

He has an old AEA PK-232 unit and a new computer with Windows XP. He is
wondering what software folks are using to run this unit, if anyone still
is. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

PK-232's are still used a lot.
For packet I use AGW with UIview (APRS) or Winpack (packet)

Other modes can be worked with http://www.cssincorp.com/pkterm/
The PK-232 can even, be upgraded with todays digital modes

Try:

XPWare works very well with XP and the PK-232.

PC Packrat 2 for DOS has been tested on several machines with real
and some USB-serial converters.

Hyperterminal will work as well as any dumb terminal.
