Default 02 Grand Cherokee, IC-208H, antennas, mounts... sugestions?

I used a glass-mount on a rear, side window of our '93 Jeep Grand
Cherokee for several years. Worked great. Just make sure you use a
quality glass-mount (Larsen) and avoid any dark band in the glass. I
have been operating mobile for 54 years so have a wee bit of
experience with mobile antennas.

Hello all, I got my ticket over 10 years ago but until recently never
started to take things seriously. A no-code tech, I'm now studying for
my 5wpm test and hoping that I can expand past my SW radio over time.
For now, I'd like to move past my old Alinco DJ-580, and get myself
something mobile for the around town communications during drive time.

I'll look into the Larsen glass mounts - can they handle the 55w output
of the IC-208h?

Hello,

I just earned my ticket and have been researching IC-208H installations
for my '98 Chrysler Sebring coupe. As for antenna mounts, I don't know
of one that will help you. For the display mount, follow the link below
for several mounts that don't require drilling holes in the dash.

For the main unit, it can be placed under your seat or tucked away under
the dash or in the trunk.

In the motohome, we mounted the display unit on the dash with
wide velcro strips.

It's rated for 50 watts, which is probably conservative. I don't
think it would be a problem.
