How in the Multiverse do you set the thing up to transmit a
DPL/DCS code or PL tone along with the standard 1KHz test tone?

In old models (1200-1500) you must go: Program-2-nd-option number, and then
setup tone codes. To execute option ,(in gen. mode): execute-2-nd-option
number !
