Need to ask a local VEC or VE if they are still administering a tech exam
with 5 wpm code. I thought they were. But will report back.

Our local VE sez:

Hi All

Technician = All privileges above 30 MHz

Technician with CSCE for 5 WPM code = All privileges above 30 MHz plus code
on
10, 15, 40, and 80 meters in the Novice sub-bands and voice privileges on 10
meters from 28.3 to 28.5 MHz.

Cautionary note = For the purpose of upgrading, the CSCE expires in one
year, although the Tech with code privileges will continue.

It's the government. Go Figure.

73, Harry
