Anyone know when and how long Progress Energy plans to test BPL in north
Raleigh, NC? (EarthLink is working with them on the tests according to the
local paper.)

Progress trying out fast Internet

Progress Energy might someday be more than a power company to its
customers -- it might be the Web service provider, too. The Raleigh company
is experimenting with technology that allows it to carry high-speed Internet
traffic using a combination of electric lines and wireless links. It tested
the service on about 25 computers at homes and businesses in the Wakefield
area this spring and summer with success.
