IC-746Pro and phone patch.
Well so far I have learned that the 8 pin DIN plug is the correct plug for hooking up a phone patch. I have also learned that on that DIN plug, the pins needed are 2 - ground, 3 - PTT, 4 - Microphone in, 5 - Receive Audio, and if needed, 7 - 12 volts (actually 13.8V). I wired pin 2 and pin 4 on the DIN plug so I could cable up the SP-767P external speaker and phone patch. I have been looking for the manual for the SP-767P but have been unable to find it. I am also looking for the plug that couples the phone line to the SP-767P but will probably simply rig one of my own tomorrow if it doesn't turn up. I have a Yaesu SP-767P and would like to use it with the Icom. I am beginning to think it takes going through the microphone jack in the front. I hope not. If you can point me to a set of instructions or website that describes the best approach I would appreciate hearing from you. Terry - W6LMJ |
