Chesterfield County, VA Subject on Channel 19 advertising Cbs for sale and wanted to goto 21 to make the sale. He said radios were modified and had 25 watts. Only a ham rig modified for CB would have 25 watts. (CBs are 4 Watts AM and 12 Watts PEP for SSB.) He didn't have a "Handle" or name. He told people he lived in the area of Route 10 and Hwy 288. |

Antoine:
A lot of 10 meter equipment can be opened up for 11 meters. However, I find it preferable to just expand the frequency coverage of 11 meter equip. Most 11 meter linears are constructed to accept 5 watts input, more than once I have seen someone burn one up attempting to pump too much drive into them.
