Hi Folks:
For a while now I've been hearing images of the transitions of CW
practice on 3.58 on about 3.575. These are also slightly heard on
7.150! Is this on my end? I only hear this on W1AW, but someone
there at W1AW said it sounds fine to him. Anyone else hearing this?
Thanks!
Harry

What is your rig? It could be spurious.

SC

Hi SC:
It was my rig. Yaesu 847. The Noise Blanker is doing it. I turned
it off, all gone.
Harry

Maybe there is a service bulletin on that problem. The 847 is a good rig.
Alot of the hams I do satellite with in Amsat use one.

I can understand your confusion as to what might be the problem. The ARRL
doesn't want to support good operating standards and practices anymore, so
why should they care if the W1AW transmitter operates ****ty too.

SC
