Default oscilloscope Model question

Hi all I'm a newbie here.

I have my first question:

Whats the difference between these two models TEKTRONIX 2215 and the 2215A?

I won a 2215a on ebay and just wanted to know what the A in the model# meant.

Thanks

Jim

I would see if I could download the manuals for each one and compare.
Sometimes the A model will have a few more bells and whistles or be
faster.

Hey OM

Sorry to see you had to post in the homebrew group you must be
desperate.

I want to know why you want to know what the difference is, what is
the reason for this question?

Lastly back in the day when they made such things mfg's always updated/
upgraded their products.

Just so they could justify the high price, they added more features or
improvements onto them.

So to answer your question directly they improved on the 2215 so they
named it the 2215A. I can tell you it won't be much of an improvemnet
just that there is some slight difference.

I used to make a living selling electronic equipment. paticularly
oscilliscopes.

Reason: I'm new to all this and I want to learn whatever I can.

Good enough?

If one does not ask questions how does one learn?
