Default Control-grid modulation for AM

Hi

Came across some notes OE3KK dated 1955 for proper control-grid
modulation, where it was emphasized to use an attenuator between the
driver stage and PA to adjust the drive level and swamp the RF drive
on minimum modulation.

Wonder if this is mentioned in some English litterature since I
receive some requests for it, and would like to mention some possible
references
