Huh? I have used surfboards to make up all kinds of microphone preamps small
enough to fit into the microphone itself - certainly a very useful format
to have indeed!!

Not everyone is working with 24 and 28 pin IC's.

If you are doing SOIC, you can almost do it manhattan style. A lot of the
really interesting parts are in TSSOP. Of course, Surfboard have few
TSSOP
boards, and the ones they do have are just a few pins. Heck, I can
