You could get a list of hundreds of cities, countries, call signs and
signal strengths via morse as a wspr interface or you could just spend a
few seconds glancing at a map display on a screen and see how your
signal propagation is working..
Horses for courses. We are visual creatures and some information is most
efficiently gathered visually.

I use 5 and 7 inch Waveshare screen on my raspberry pi for radio (wspr
mostly) but also for gaming machines and a quiz buzzer.
A little fiddly but they work well. The official 7 inch screen is a lot
easier to set up.
