Default VHF homebrew transceiver design?

I had been looking for a VHF SSB/FM homebrew design to build. Can
someone point to a good design to build?

Thanks

Hello,

If SSB only may be a beginning ...
if French text may be understood ...
if a very good description, with good schematics can agree ...
then go to :
http://perso.wanadoo.fr/f5cau/xver144/page_xver.htm

and download pdf :
xver9hx.pdf 1.6 Mb

This VHF SSB transceiver was design for substitute of IC202 for down
conversion in a SHF station. The author, Andre Jamet, F9HX, is known
in France for his good job and papers about it.

Hi Rama,

I've not seen a complete design listed anywhere, but, if you find one,
or want to ADD (say) an LNA, or some such, a high power PA?, to it or
what you have now, I will try to help you with a design. I don't
charge hams for help, BUT, if I were to drive thru your city, and you
were to offer me "lunch" or a pizza at a local pub, well - that's
different! g I can be "had." lol

Take a peek at my "commercial" site. I hate to use that name as I
built it all myself. To me "commercial" is something like Bill Gates &
Microsoft. I prefer to refer to my site as a "personal" site that
happens to sell good RF tools, (at LOW cost), that I've created, over
the enjoyable years I was active in ham radio starting in 1953.

Have you got a HF rig? A lot of homebrewers use 10m-2M
transverters. I use my homebrew HF rig to drive a homebrew
transverter and 4CX250B linear.

Thanks for all the suggestions, Folks. I think, Ed's suggestions is
probably the easiest route for me. I will look for a 2m-10m transverter
design.

Thanks again. More innovative sugegstions are welcome.

Good morning,

EI9GQ gave you an excellent suggestion :

(un-zip, then it's a pdf)

Good luck !
