Default MPS6543 Transistor

My HP Q meter has a duff MPS6543 transistor.
Anyone have one or know where I can obtain one?

Thanks,

Hi,

My HP Q meter has a duff MPS6543 transistor.
Anyone have one or know where I can obtain one?

According to the data sheet the MPS6543 isn't particularly
unusual and you should be able to substitute if you don't find the
real thing.

Have a look here -

http://www.datasheet4u.com/

It is a general-purpose, 350mW, 25V, UHF, silicon, NPN device
with an FT of 750MHz, an HFE(min) of 25 and a Cob of 1.0pF in a
TO-92 case with the emitter lead in the middle. Maplin have some
transistors that might do in their High Frequency, Low Power NPN
listing - possibly the BF199?.

BTW, I saw your posting on the HP_Agilent Yahoo Group and meant
to reply then but forgot.

Cheers - Joe

================================
According to Tower's International Transistor Selector , BF183 is equivalent
to MPS6543.
For BF183 you can check with Mode Components , www.modecomponents.co.uk

Good Luck
