DU - PHILIPPINES, OC-129
Vincent,VR2/F4BKV, will stay on Boracay Island (OC-129) from Oct 1-6
and will show up as DU6/F4BKV in SSB/PSK31 with 100 watts and a dipole
for 80m/40m/20m/15m/10m. QSL via F4BKV, via REF bureau, direct or LoTW.

EA8 - CANARY ISLANDS, AF-004
Heijo,DJ1OJ, will spend the winter on Teneriffa (AF-004) from early
October 2008 until the end of March 2009. Heijo will be active as EA8OM
mainly in CW/RTTY to preserve the ears of his XYL.
QSL via bureau to his homecall or via LoTW.

EY - TAJIKISTAN
Philippe,F4EGS, is staying in the capital Dushanbe since Sep 26. He is
working in SSB/RTTY/PSK/CW on 40-10m signing EY8/F4EGS until Nov 26.
Philippe is running 100 watts and uses a vertical antenna.
QSLs direct or via bureau to his homecall.

FO/M - MARQUESAS ISLANDS, OC-027
Meanwhile Willi,DJ7RJ, arrived on the Marquesas. His QTH is situated
near the coast on Ua Island Pou (OC-027). Willi is active as FO/DJ7RJ
until Oct 19. QSLs will be confirmed via DJ7RJ after his return.

KG4 - GUANTANAMO BAY, NA-015
Bill,W4WV, will be QRV in SSB as KG4WV and Ed,KN4KL, will work in RTTY,
SSTV and SSB signing KG4KL on all bands from Oct 7-21.
QSL cards via their homecalls (also via bureau).

KH2 - GUAM ISLAND, OC-026
Aki,JR1VAY, will take part in the Oceania DX Contest (SSB) from the
island of Guam (OC-026 using the callsign AH2J from Oct 4-6.
QSLs via his homecall (via JARL bureau preferred).

KP2 - AMERICAN VIRGIN ISLANDS, NA-106
Cory,KP2/N1WON, and Ken,KP2/KF4U, will pitch their tents on the
Radio Reef (NA-106, USI VI-002S) and will be QRV mainly on 17m and 12m
from Oct 3-10. QSLs via homecalls, KP2/N1WON also via LoTW.

OD - LEBANON
Sylvain,OD5/F5TLN, will stay in the Lebanon from October until February
2009. He will work mostly in SSB but also some CW on all HF bands.
Sylvain will confirm the QSL cards after his return home and points out
that bureau QSLs will take some time.

PJ2 - NETHERLAND ANTILLES, CURACAO, SA-006
Joeke,PJ2/PA0VDV, will show up from Curacao (SA-006) only in CW from
Oct 2-29. QSLs via his homecall, direct or via bureau.

S79 - SEYCHELLES, AF-024
S79TF will be the callsign of Tom,DJ6TF, who is going to spend his
holidays on La Digue Island (AF-024) from Oct 2-14. His main emphasis
will be put on the 30m band and RTTY operation but you can find him
also working the other modes mostly at the lower band edges with his
FT-890 and a vertical antenna. QSLs via DJ6TF (ok via bureau).

T30 - WESTERN KIRIBATI, OC-017 / T31 - CENTRAL KIRIBATI, OC-043
Toshi,JA8BMK, announced to be active as T30XX from Tarawa (OC-017) for
ten days starting on Sep 25. After that he will travel to the island of
Canton/Central Kiribati (OC-043) where he will work as T31XX on Oct 11.
He will stay there for two or three months depending on his connecting
ship routes. Operation will take place in SSB, CW, RTTY, PSK31 and SSTV
on 160-6m with emphasis put on the low and WARC bands.
QSLs unfortunately only direct via JA8BMK.

T6 - AFGHANISTAN
John,KE6GFF, will stay in the capital Kabul and plans to show up as
T6EE on 14200 kHz (+/- QRM) from Oct 5-31. Other frequencies are not
permitted with his licence. He also plans to take part in the upcoming
CQ WWDX Contest in SSB on Oct 25/26. QSLs via Sheila,KE6GFI.

TN - CONGO
Mao,TN5MM, is a new OM in Congo. At the moment he is active from the
station of Nicolas,F8FQX, who is working in Brazzaville since Aug 20.
Meanwhile Nicolas also got an own callsign: TN5SN (QSL via IZ1BZV).

3B7 - ST BRANDON AND AGALEGA ISLANDS, AF-015
Rachid,3B8FQ, has to work on St. Brandon (AF-015) during October.
He plans to hit the airwaves as 3B7FQ during his little spare time.
QSL via K5XK, bureau ok!

6W - SENEGAL
Several members of the Senegalese Amateur Radio Club SNRASEC (6W7PCT)
will activate the call 6V7SPACE during the "Space Week" from Oct 4-10.
They arranged skeds with the Grandcour school in Fribourg/Switzerland
and the "Scientific Club" of the university of Mbour/Senegal for Oct 4.
Activities will include also SSTV operation.

Frosty,K5LBU, is planning a DXpedition to Lesotho in July/Aug 2009 and

7X - ALGERIA
Mike,DB1JAW, wants to show up as 7W0JAW or 7X/DB1JAW from Bou-Saada and
other places in the Algerian Sahara from Oct 2-14. He will work in SSB
and PSK31 mainly on 20m/17m/12m but his equipment is working on 80-10m.
QSLs unfortunately only direct via DB1JAW.

CANADA, SPECIAL EVENT STATIONS
Canadian HAMs are celebrating the 150th anniversary of British Columbia
with several special prefixes. Between Oct 1 and Nov 30 they may use:
CJ instead of VA
CK instead of VE
CY instead of VO
CZ instead of VY

The "Association of Amateur Radio Operators" in Mauricie/Quebec
celebrates its 85th founding anniversary. The special event station
VC2ARAM will be activated from Oct 3 until Nov 3. QSL via VE2MO.

POLAND, SPECIAL EVENT STATION
Sylwester,SP2FAP, is the publisher of the magazine QTC. Three special
event stations will be active to celebrate the 200th edition:
HF200Q (Oct 1-10), HF200T (Oct 11-20) and HF200C (Oct 21-31).
If you have worked at least one station you may send a log excerpt via
e-Mail to and you will receive a virtual award.
The QSL manager for all three stations is SP4KDX.

THE NETHERLANDS, SPECIAL EVENT STATION
The special callsign PA08DWN can be found on the air during the annual
Furieade maritime festival in Maassluis near Rotterdam on Oct 3/4.
The shack is situated on the museum ship "Elbe". QSLs via PA3ALM.
