Meteor Scatter Propagations: March 2009...
Sporadic meteors mean rates are still close to the minimum this
month (in the Northern Emisphere), but will start to increase soon,
following the annual cycle. Even if only minor showers are active
in March, don’t forget that 144 MHz MS contacts can still take place,
at least under some favourable conditions. Have a look at our
MMMonVHF MS-Propagationpage: http://www.mmmonvhf.de/ms.php

50Mhz Big Gun Testing
This is a call for some serious Six operators to come play during a
few weekends in June 2009. I want to capitalise on the extended prop
provided to us by mother nature during the month of June and hopefully
gain good JA district QSO's AM and Caribean/US during the afternoons
perhaps over a couple (or more) weekends in June. I will be building
at least 2 of my very long 50Mhz Yagi's and 2 for 70Mhz too. I have a
brother-in-law that will provide 16 Metre high cherry pickers at a good
rate in order to ensure the arrays are nice and high and I have
capabilities of at least legal limit through 2 x 4CX250B's. Anyone
interested in joining the fun (one day, one weekend or both) by lending
a hand and/or equipment, please let me know and between us, we can
arrange some dates. Justin G0KSC justin"at"G0KSC.co.uk www.g0ksc.co.uk

Hi all, I updated World EME records list above 50MHz however I can't
find any info about the longest contacts on 222 + 903 MHz. Can anybody
help me to fill up white spaces? http://www.ok2kkw.com/dxrecords.htm

METEOR SCATTER AND AURORA AT 902 MHz AND ABOVE [1992] by Dave KD5RO/2
Many amateurs have experimented with long distance QSO’s using the
Auroral Curtain or the ionized trails of meteors entering the Earth’s
atmosphere. Contacts using these methods of propagation enhancement
are made frequently on the amateur bands of 50, 144, 222, and to a
lesser extent on 432 MHz. In this paper, I will bring you up to date
on the efforts being made to expand the upper frequency limit of these
contacts to include the amateur microwave bands at 902 MHz and beyond.
Read the complete article: http://www.ok2kkw.com/next/kd5ro1992.htm

Matej, OK1TEH is also looking for any info about MS tests on 23cm.
If you know anything about it please let me know.

The last time I talked with Jody a couple weeks ago she indicated
that the tower was about ready to go back up with a 6 meter beam.

monitoring if the antenna is up while I am there. I will be
capable of 200 watts with the FT2000D I am taking with me.
