/////////////////////////////////////////// KKSF Abandons Talk For ESPN Deportes Posted: 22 Jul 2016 12:44 PM PDT https://radioinsight.com/blog/headli...espn-deportes/ iHeartMedia abruptly dropped the Talk format of 910 KKSF San Francisco this morning to return the Spanish Sports ESPN Deportes network to the market. The station is now being operated by Deportes Media via LMA, which had been running the network on 860 KTRB San Francisco until that station became Salem Media operated Conservative Talk 860 The Answer on July 1. KKSF had been running a mix of local and syndicated Talk including longtime KGO host Gil Gross, Program Director Cory Callewaert and Joel Riddell, and the syndicated Stephanie Miller and Alan Colmes. KKSF registered a 0.3 share in the June 2016 Nielsen Audio PPM ratings. /////////////////////////////////////////// Y100 Savannah Stunting Like A G Thang Posted: 22 Jul 2016 06:19 AM PDT https://radioinsight.com/blog/headli...ike-a-g-thang/ Alpha Media has dropped the CHR format on Y100 100.1 WXYY Rincon/Savannah GA. The station is currently stunting with a loop of Dr. Dre/Snoop Doggs Nothing But A G Thang while running sweepers hyping an announcement of something new launching at 5:00 this afternoon. That will apparently lead to a flip to Classic Hip-Hop as G100 matching the branding used by recently launched sister G96.7 WGBL Biloxi. G100Savannah.com was registered this morning, while the stations Facebook address has been changed to G100Savannah and temporarily taken private. WXYY ranked 16th in the Savannah market with a 1.4 share in the Fall 2015 Nielsen Audio ratings. That placed well behind iHeartMedia CHR 97.3 Kiss-FM WAEVs third ranked 6.6 share. A flip to Classic Hip-Hop will also attempt to take share points from the other top four ranked stations in the market: Cumuluss top rated Urban E93 93.1 WEAS-FM and iHearts combo of Urban 94.1 The Beat WQBT and Urban AC Love 101.1 WLVH /////////////////////////////////////////// Sean Ross: Vacation Posted: 22 Jul 2016 06:00 AM PDT http://www.mxcreativeradio.com/784/vacation/ /////////////////////////////////////////// Station Sales Week Of 7/22 Posted: 22 Jul 2016 05:15 AM PDT https://radioinsight.com/blog/headli...s-week-of-722/ Station Sales Cumulus Medias Joule Broadcasting divestment trust has sold Country 104.7 Nash Icon WELJ Montauk NY/New London CT to Matthew Glaser and Kerry Baldingers Bold Broadcasting for $197,000. KSLY-FM has applied for a main studio waiver to rebroadcast 91.9 KLVR Middletown CA meaning that it will become the K-Love affiliate for San Luis Obispo while 88.5 KLVH will perhaps switch over to Air 1. Original Report 7/15: The sell-off of El Dorado Broadcasters Central California assets continues as the company has agreed to sell 96.1 KSLY-FM San Luis Obispo to Educational Media Foundation. KSLY-FM dropped its short-lived Country 96.1 SLO Country format at the end of June and along with sister 101.3 KJRW Los Osos-Baywood Park went dark, while sister 107.3 KURQ Grover Beach flipped from Active Rock to Regional Mexican as Gold Coast Radio began operating it via LMA. No purchase price has been released yet. EMF already operates its Christian AC K-Love network on 88.5 KLVH San Luis Obispo, so KSLY will likely join its Christian CHR Air 1 network. Perhaps with the KJRW calls recently parked on 101.3? /////////////////////////////////////////// SiriusXM To Make Channel Changes August 4 Posted: 21 Jul 2016 04:57 PM PDT https://radioinsight.com/blog/headli...nges-august-4/ SiriusXM is revamping its channel grid on Thursday, August 4.
