https://radioinsight.com/headlines/2...eld-affiliate/

American General Media Conservative Talk 1180 KERN Wasco-Greenacres/96.1
K241CI Bakersfield has announced it will pickup Premiere Networks Rush
Limbaugh Show starting Monday, May 24.

Limbaughs show had aired in Bakersfield on Alpha Medias 1560 KNZR/97.7
KNZR-FM until the end of March when it was replaced by Salem Medias Dennis
Prager Show. KERN will air Limbaugh in his usual 9am-12pm Pacific timeslot.

Limbaugh will replace the final hour of Scott Cox morning show and Dana
Loeschs syndicated show on the KERN schedule.

American General Media’s Newstalk 1180 The New 96.1 KERN announced today
the addition of “The Rush Limbaugh Show,” effective Monday, May 24. The
station will air the program in the live 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. PT timeslot.

“‘The Rush Limbaugh Show’ has always been the gold standard of talk radio,”
said Robert Lewis, Regional Director of Operations Programming, KERN-AM.
“Having the opportunity to add Rush’s wise words to our broadcast day was a
very easy choice for KERN Radio.”

Rush Limbaugh launched his phenomenally successful radio broadcast into
national syndication on August 1, 1988, with 56 radio stations. More than
30 years later, it’s heard on more than 600 stations by millions of people
each week and is the highest rated national radio talk show in America.

Bell Media Bounces 25 Stations Across Canada To New Variety Hits Brand

Posted: 18 May 2021 08:02 AM PDT
https://radioinsight.com/headlines/2...ty-hits-brand/

Bell Media continues its nationalization of brands across Canada with the
launch of Variety Hits Bounce on 25 stations across the country.

Positioning as The Music You Just Cant Quit, the stations are now focusing
on a Pop/Rock leaning playlist from the 1980s through 2000s.

The biggest station to make the change was Variety Hits 99.9 Bob-FM CFWM
Winnipeg, which was the first station in the format when it adopted the Bob
branding in March 2002.

Other stations making the change to Bounce today include:

AC 102.9 K-Lite CKLH Hamilton ON
Classic Hits 99.5 K-Fun CKKW Kitchener/Waterloo ON
Variety Hits 96.1 Bob-FM CKX-FM Brandon MB
Classic Hits 92.3 The Dock CJOS Owen Sound ON
Classic Hits 104.1 The Dock CICZ Midland ON
Variety Hits 91.9 Bob-FM CKLY Lindsay ON
Rock 105.3 The Fox CFXY Fredericton NB
Rock Big Dog 100.9 CKTO Truro NS
Hot AC K93 93.5 CIKS Grand Falls NB
Hot AC Max 104.9 CKBC Bathurst NB
Variety Hits 103.7 Bob-FM CJPT Brockville ON
Rock 101.5 The Bear CKNL Fort St. John BC
Rock 102.3 The Bear CKRX Fort Nelson BC
AC EZ Rock 800 CKOR Penticton BC
AC EZ Rock 98.5 CHOR-FM Summerland

AC EZ Rock 590 CFTK Terrace BC
AC EZ Rock 97.7 CKTK-FM Kitimat BC
AC EZ Rock 99.1 CHTK-FM Prince Rupert BC

The flips eliminate the usage of the EZ Rock and Bob-FM brands throughout
the company. EZ Rock at one point was utilized throughout the country
including Toronto, Ottawa and Edmonton.

Bell Media previously consolidated many of its other stations under the CHR
Virgin Radio, Country Pure Country, and AC Move brands. Todays move leaves
Hot AC 104.5 CHUM-FM Toronto, two Hot AC Sun-FMs in British Columbia,
Oldies 580 CKWW Windsor, and Rock stations in Calgary, Edmonton, Montreal,
and St. Catharines as the only English language music stations not on
standardized brands within the company.

https://radioinsight.com/headlines/2...g-to-mornings/

Cumulus Media Conservative Talk 105.9 WMAL Woodbridge VA/Washington DC is
resetting its on-air lineup starting Monday, May 24.

Afternoon host Larry OConnor will move back to mornings as host of OConnor
Company. OConnor joined WMAL as morning co-host in 2012, then added an
additional 5-6pm solo show in 2014. Since January 2017, he has hosted
afternoons from 3-6pm. As part of his move to mornings, OConnor will also
give up the 10am-12pm Pacific show he has hosted for 790 KABC Los Angeles.

Current morning host Vince Coglianese will move in the opposite direction
to afternoons. Coglianese co-hosted mornings with Mary Walter from July
2017 until Walter announced her departure last week.

The schedule change is timed to coincide with the launch of Cumulus new Dan
Bongino Show in middays from 12-3pm replacing Rush Limbaugh on the stations
lineup. Chris Plante remains in the 9am-12pm late morning slot.

CUMULUS MEDIA announces that it will bring popular Washington, D.C. talk
radio personality Larry O’Connor to Mornings on 105.9 FM WMAL as Host of a
new Morning Show, O’Connor Company. O’Connor, WMAL’s current Afternoon
Drive Host, will kick off the station’s new weekday programming line-up on
Monday, May 24th, as O’Connor Company takes the 5:00am to 9:00am on-air
slot. The program, which marks a return to Mornings for O’Connor, will be a
lively and topical mix of guests, listeners, contributors and O’Connor’s
take on the day’s Breaking News.

Vince Coglianese will segue from Mornings on WMAL-FM to host Afternoon
Drive from 3:00pm to 6:00pm, as the station re-sets its line-up, along with
the addition of The Dan Bongino Show from Noon to 3:00pm.

Bill Hess, VP/NewsTalk, CUMULUS MEDIA, and Program Director, WMAL-FM, said:
“Having Larry and Vince in these new roles, along with the launch of The
Dan Bongino Show and the continued strength of Chris Plante, sets WMAL up
perfectly for the next stage in the station’s success.”

Larry O’Connor commented: “Im thrilled to return to mornings on WMAL in
Washington, where my career began nine years ago. Four years after creating
the first live and local afternoon drive program on the station since 2001,
it truly feels like coming home and I cant wait to be a part of the morning
commute for families across the Mid-Atlantic and in the nations capital. I
appreciate the confidence that Bill Hess and Dave Milner have in me and I
am thrilled to work together to continue Cumulus great success at this
historic station.”

Vince Coglianese remarked: “Im beyond thrilled to make the leap to
afternoons with the countrys single greatest talk radio audience. After
four years of taking the WMAL audience to work, I now have the awesome
