Another thing I've had trouble with on Echolink is the voice quality.
Everyone except the local guys sound terrible. Very difficult to understand. - Mike KB3EIA - Thats strange, just got off Echolink thru my Link, to a freind in Texas. His Audio sounded perfect as it always does |

Yes...but you still used your computer and the land lines.....
And I also used an IC-706 with a Vertical Ant, and a Alinco DJ541 it also has an Antenna. |

We had a power outage recently in the Northeast. The Echolink connection to
a local 2 meter repeater was down because the RoadRunner cable system has no battery backup in these parts. -- Remove "zz" from e-mail address to direct reply. "Vshah101" wrote in message ... From: "Tin Monkey" When inclement WX hits and the phone lines are down it will be back to Ham Radio the way it always has been. Good old radios and antennas....and for those with preplannning a Marine battery or two as well. How often has your fantasy been played out? Can you give examples where YOU encountered that? |
