REAL Amateur radio is accomplished by using radios and antennas, not computers and phone lines. Interesting, my Link on ECHOLink uses Radio and ants. Yeah. And I know that if I use Echolink on my PC here in NJ USA to connect to a machine say in Romania, that my voice is being transmitted on some 2m or 440 freq over there. I just happen to be using a very long microphone cable..... I've had QSOs with hams in Japan who were mobile. Guys suprized to hear an American white trash voice on their local repeater. :-) |
