Without data, in some endeavors (not ham radio) it can be downright
dangerous to act on what you believe to be fact. Without data, one should
tread with caution rather than certainty.

You are being deliberately obtuse. Your opinion that it is a fact does not
make it so. And even in casual discussions, I've seen many statements
challenged and the proponent asked to prove it.
